PROBLEM FOR ONE-MONTH; SOLUTION IN ONE SECOND

TODAY, God’s mercy and power reveal. I was so thankful that God shows his ways and not my own ways. 

For the past two months, I was thinking of who will attend my hearing which will be scheduled on February 20, 2019 at Lapu lapu City. I am residing at the moment in Toledo City. Lapu-lapu City is approximately a 3-hour drive from Toledo City. I am so stressful considering that I am a shy type of lawyer. 

Shy because it is not my capacity to ask for appearance fee even if I appeared for my client’s hearing. I will still wait that they are the one who will give me the said fee considering that my clients have already known that appearance fee should be given to the lawyer who attended their case on that day even if the hearing of the case is reset for another day. This is the complaint of my wife and my boss. I do not know how to get it and to say it confidently that appearance should be paid.

Let us go back to my amazing story. I called this as amazing because God is the only one who will give me an unexpected solution. Unexpected solution is undeniable if you have this with the Lord-FAITH.

Solutions will just appear unexpectedly. My problem, I cannot divide myself for two hearings in different areas. I have hearings in Toledo City and I also have a hearing in Lapu-lapu City. The hearing in Lapu-lapu City is somewhat like pro-bono. The client only paid for the pleadings, like contract without paying an acceptance fee. Anyway, the case in Lapu-lapu is just a manifestation to provisionally dismiss the case since both parties have agreed the civil liabilities in the criminal case for Violation Against Women and Children.

My hearings in Toldeo City are also equally important in Lapu-lapu City. I must admit that I showed pity to the mother of the accused in the case of Lapu-lapu City. But I have to prioritize my wife who is currently in her 8-month old pregnancy. I love my wife and I love my son in her womb. The baby in the womb is God’s gift. I have to prioritize the same.

My problem is the conflict of schedule. I have to find a solution. I keep on finding solution for the problem for one month, but in just a second in February 19, 2019, one of my partners said that he has a hearing in Lapu-lapu tomorrow (February 20, 2019) of which he can appear for my case.

Thanks God, my partner is an answer of problem. He is the Instrument of God. For Atty. Jobey Bernaldez, thank you for being God’s instrument. Thank for saying “Yes”. God has plan for you.

THE CROSS

I wrote this chapter during Good Friday. My younger brother and I went to church at 3 PM and I was honestly amazed of the rituals or let us say the procedure of the liturgical celebration. It was my first time for my entire 27 years in this world to experience the said celebration. I was so shocked! Why? Because it was the first time that I attended a celebration where there was no entrance song. It started when everybody kneels. When the priests, the lay ministers, the psalmists, and the knights of the altar reached at the altar, they sat, then bent and kissed the floor for a minute or two.
