TOLEDO CITY HAMMERED OUT GLIMMERING MAN-MADE LAKE
Toledo City- The Province of Cebu is known for its tourist attractions. Both locals and foreigners are amazed with the charms located in several places of the province. One of these dandy creations is a unique and man-made lake located in Brgy General Climaco (or Casoy), Toledo City. Locals commonly called this lake as “Dam”. But now, the Local Government of Toledo City and other organizations called this as Malubog Lake.
Historically, Malubog Lake or Malubog Dam is a man-made lake originally from Malubog Creek. It was created in the year 1970's, more or less. A Mining Company developed this artificial lake to supply water to its mining activities.
When you reached the lake, you could imagine the serenely free of interruption or disturbance. It is peaceful and statue still. You will be refreshed by its natural beauty and you will experience a “free of dejection” moment because of the standout attraction.
The place is now commonly used as a location for prenup pictorials. The green color surrounding the lake adds beauty to your pictures. The lake itself is a window clear for the background of every photo you get. The mountains will add spice to your picture as well. The trees at the same time will become the pinnacle of your art.
Surely, your friends will hit likes and other reactions of your pictures in the social media.
In the area, it has an orange color soil which could also casts some awesome reactions. So, visit this soothing place. I am sure you could also have a lightning bolt moment as you arrived the place.
Here is How!
1. If you are from Cebu City, just go to the Cebu South Bus Terminal (Temporarily the South Bus Terminal is transferred at Lantaw, SRP);
2. Ride a bus going to Toledo City (The fare is Php100.00);
3. Get off from the bus as soon as you arrived Toledo City Terminal;
4. You can ride a “sikad” (Bicycle cart) or a tricycle going to Malubog/Casoy Jeepney Terminal (The fare is Php20.00 during COVID);
5. Tell the driver or its assistant that you will be dropped at the prettiest location where to go to Malubog Lake or Malubog Dam. You can also get off near the barangay hall. Right there, you can fully ask for touring in Malubog Lake or Lake. (Note: The Jeepney schedule to Malubog Lake or Casoy is only during Tuesday and Friday. From Malubog/Casoy Terminal the fare is Php20.00. During COVID, the fare is Php50.00).
