TEACHING: PAINFUL GIFT!

Image
Alone in a very busy restaurant, a child’s smile caught my attention. In his innocent eyes, I see a bright future. As I was astonished, I binged on writing solutions to the recent social problem of today while waiting for my orders to be served. The Philippine government is now hammering out a bill which will later on becomes a law increasing the benefits of the teachers. However, many have raised their eyebrows as to when this would take effect. Teachers are basically molding the future leaders of the country. These teachers deserve the best benefits. However, contrary to everybody’s expectation, the leaders of today have been blinded with greediness. These leaders, although not all, only want power and wealth. Corruption becomes the malady of the government which is hard to heal. The leaders of this millennium becomes oblivious of the lesson that were taught by their teachers. The debacle that needs to be fought today is on how to educate the learners of the i...

Image
“Look deep into nature and then you will understand thing better” – Albert Einstein Appreciating the beauty of nature is so natural. However, some abuse the mother earth with no respect. Despite of the brutality, there are others who preserve the fascinating and outstanding look of nature. The Island I salute these people! The children yet unborn could still witness the nature’s revelation of simplicity yet alluring beauty. One of these nature’s revelation is considered as one of the most visited places in the Philippines--- Kalangaman Island located at Palompon, Leyte. I have been there for four times. If you are from Cebu City, you have many alternatives in going there. In my case, I only tried two alternatives. First alternative. From Cebu City you can ride a fast craft or a big boat. For the fast craft, you may choose Supercat or To Go and Oceanjet. For big boats you have two, Roble and Light Ferry. If you arrived Ormoc City, The City of Beautiful People, you can ride a p...

Everybody inside the hospital including the nurses, the assigned doctors and the staff were worried what ...

FEAR NOT!

Image
I n this article , I would like you to be enlightened with the word FEAR! This word is so much abused. Sometimes because of fear, we become inconsistent. We have a tendency to lie. Sometimes as well, we have to omit an act because of FEAR. We chose not to do things that might produce bad results. Uhmmm…  Yes! Fear  might  produce different result that may cause troubles. But it is just MIGHT! Not a REALITY yet. I am not saying that I do not have fear. Of course, I’m also normal. Fear is natural. Even you, yourself have that fear! But how do we overcome fear?           I have this experience when I was nine (9) years old. It is still vivid in my mind until now. One of the horrible experiences in my life is in the year 1991. November of the said year, Ormoc City experienced Typhoon Uring. Unlike Super Typhoon Yolanda, the information about the storm in that year is very limited. In Ormoc, few have Te...
